Sea of blue

Hull became the City of Culture in 2017. A year long festival and then beyond. It’s been such a fantastic time with numerous events. An American photographer called Spencer Tunick, who uses a mass of nude people as art, had an idea for the City ….

Spencer Tunick (Not the one in blue….)

Early one summer morning over three thousand people turned up, stripped naked and smothered themselves with blue body paint….

To celebrate Hull’s maritime history…

And the Sea of Hull was born….

Luckily it wasn’t cold and it didn’t rain!

Never seen so many Smurfs. Amazing. You don’t say whether you joined in. My home town, Bradford, has been shortlisted for city of culture. is this what I have to look forward to, Vinny? I hope they pick a warm day or it will shring smaller than usual! 😂
